 My Journey

When I was nineteen years old and my father asked me why I wanted to study business, the answer surprised even me:

“I want to make the world of work more human.”

That sentence became a quiet compass I kept returning to. In 2004, while still a student, I began leading small groups and working with people on questions of purpose, belief, and direction. The experience of coaching others, facilitating self-organized teams, and holding space for learning sparked something that has stayed with me ever since: a passion for the human side of development.

After completing the Organization Development Certificate Program at NTL Institute in Oxford, I joined ARGO and started working on change and leadership development projects, even across Europe, the U.S., India, and China. I designed and facilitated workshops, supported leadership teams, and - in my spare time - created a leadership program for young people who wanted to make a difference in the world. For a while, it felt like I could do it all. I was energized, curious, full of drive.

Then my body hit pause.

What started as unexplained exhaustion turned into a six-month health crisis that challenged everything I thought I knew about myself. Despite living a healthy lifestyle, I had to face a truth I had long avoided: I was disconnected from parts of myself. With the support of therapy, I began to feel long-suppressed emotions - anger, grief, fear - and learned to be with what is. In the same time I also started meditating and practicing mindfulness, which became a central part of my life and still is today. That crisis was painful, but it also marked the beginning of a deeper unfolding.

In 2014, I joined Virtual Identity as HR Coach, then Consultant and later as Account Director. It was a demanding and creative time - and a place where I could deepen what I had started: Bringing presence, clarity, and authenticity into how we lead and collaborate. I stayed almost six years.

In 2019, I met my wife and moved to Serbia for what became almost two years of expansion, stillness, and healing.

I learned the language, reconnected with nature, went to therapy and practiced mindfulness with greater depth and focus.

That time stretched my perspective and allowed me to grow beyond old patterns. It also reminded me how much of leadership is about presence, and how essential it is to lead from within.

Since returning to Vienna in 2022  I’ve worked independently as a senior consultant, trainer, and coach - collaborating with different consultancies on leadership development, cultural transformation and on employer branding projects. I also continued my own education: I completed a one-year training in mental training, mindfulness, and emotional regulation and I became a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach.

Today, I support leaders on their own path of unfolding.

Helping them reconnect with who they are, expand their perspective, and learn to lead from a deeper center of gravity within themselves.

When I am not coaching or consulting I enjoy spending time with my wife and our dog Quincy, reading, making music with my friends, exercising - or when I am close to an ocean and the waves are good, I love to go surfing.
